Project Overview :
The Jean Monnet Module project, named “The European approach towards interregional integration cooperation: the case of the EU ‘Global Getaway’ strategy” (EATIIC-GG), was initiated by a group of international scholars who specialize in the field of regional integration focused on European and Eurasian studies. The project was originally discussed in 2020, but the launch of the EU’s “Global Getaway” strategy in December 2021 and the outbreak of military conflict in Ukraine prompted a modification of the initial idea, leading to the development of EATIIC-GG.
– Main Idea and Goals of the Eramus+ JM Project :
The main objective of the project isto promote knowledge and expertise on the EU’s approach towards interregional integration cooperation, with a specific focus on the ‘Global Getaway’ strategy and its impacts on the EU and its partners in terms of economy, politics, and culture. The project primarily targets students and academia researchers as main target groups and comprises both educational and research components. The project aims to achieve its objectives by developing teaching disciplines on EU interregional integration cooperation and the ‘Global Getaway’ strategy, preparing study materials, delivering a specialized program for students, publishing peer-reviewed articles, and organizing dissemination events.
– Expected Outcomes :
The project results will be obtained through the delivery of 112 teaching hours in 9 courses over a period of 3 years, leading to up to 3 peer-reviewed publications on EU interregional integration cooperation. In addition, the project will involve collection of literature for the preparation of study materials or a handbook, development of an open-source database on EU interregional integration cooperation activities, and organization of at least 3 dissemination events for academia, authorities, business, and NGOs.
